Contracted hours should equal average hours per month
In Ireland it is law that a company employing an employee for say 20 hours contract who then is given more hours on the average than the contract must be offered a new contract matching their average hours and this law is not implemented in the UK and should be this petition looks to lobby the department of work and pensions, and the final decision makers regarding employment law to implement this change within legislation
Why is this important?
This allows people to guarantee a consistent amount of hours at their workplace and allows for companies to budget better. Whilst simultaneously reducing the companies abilities to screw over its staff with hours being cut back
How it will be delivered
This will be sent over the the governments financial advisors with intention to show the people demand companies provide them with adequate consistent hours
