Decouple Electricity Price from Gas Price
Dear Prime Minister,
please decouple the price of electricity from the price of gas TODAY; this will reduce CPI inflation by 2% by next quarter and core inflation by a further 1%next year.
The two were coupled in the 1980s and 1990s because gas made 85% of electricity - it made sense then. Today gas only makes 10% of peak electricity, it is time to reflect the eco-market not the "Dishonest Rent" of the corporate bodies. Thankyou.
