Discrimination at Border Force against foreign same sex partner of an UK Resident.

I am Marx Santiago de Morais a German living in London. This morning my partner Douglas Santiago de Morais wanted to visit me coming from Berlin (where he lives and works for many years) but was held at the boarder and put into custody. They confiscated everything (incl. his mobile, passport, baggage, and proof of employment in Germany). By an act of arbitrary discrimination they decided he is not coming here to visit but for work or planning to move to the UK illegally. The reason was that he has too many UK stamps in his passport.

My same sex partner is brasilian but living for many years in Germany. He has a propper work there and a permanent VISA for Germany. As a brasilian he is allowed to enter the UK 6 months every year. He has not came even close to that. The vocal explanation was that it's too many times he visited me and that's why they think he works here, it is clearly arbitrary discrimination. He then received a written explanation upon being forced on a return flight to Germany stating the reason was due to him applying for a EEA Family Permit Entry Clearance that was denied. The denial was due to him not adding the documentation of me being a resident which was not mentioned in the form as required to apply for the EEA Family Permit Entry Clearance. It is currently an open case and we are preparing the evidence. They asked for his proof of income and work in Germany, but had confiscated this proof upon detainment and would not allow him to access the proof. This was another reason mentioned in the written letter. He at no time was allowed to refute any of the allegations in the written letter. While being "interviewed" he was not allowed to answer any questions. He was only allowed to listen to allegations that the customs officer was making. The customs officer was very hostile and acted in a manor that portrayed the officer to be anti-gay and racist. He has come lots of short times for visiting me, which is more proof that he is coming for visiting his same sex partner, rather than staying permanently or working here (what would be his legal right as brasilian) which could be understandable to be seen different.

While he was sitting in a kind of prison, he did not get food not even on request. They did have one dish available which was a kind of Indian dish. He can not eat this due to stomach issues. He even asked to get his purse back to give one of the guards money to just buy bread or a simple sandwich for him, but they even denied this. He has departed at 7 PM today back to Germany after being held for over 10 h in custody with no opportunity to request legal council.

Why is this important?

This is important due to it happening on his first visit after the BREXIT and is a sign of which way the government will go in the future. It should not become acceptable that the government applies arbitrary decisions in this great country of law and freedom.

Today they start with gays from not white men country's, tomorrow we don't want to imagine how far this government will go.
