End inhumane immigration detention laws

Put a 28 day limit on detention
Give detainees access to proper legal representation, not lawyers working on behalf of the Home Office
Respect rule 35 - no torture victim should ever be in detention

Why is this important?

I am visiting detainees in the Verne Detention Centre and am seeing first hand the tragedy lots of those detained are living through. This is inhumane. They are not criminals. It drives a large number of them to self-harm and suicide. This cannot continue on British soil.
