Energy Expropriation?
OFGEM has a duty to equate a proportionate rate rise for those who are transferring energy into the National Grid, at a rate that realistically reflects the current value of the transferred energy.
Any delay in equating the shortfall, in unit cost and/or any arrears, should be either offset against any future bill(s) or settled in full before further hardship is generated.
Any further increases to household energy costs, should receive an equally proportionate increase.
OFGEM should establish if any further action should be taken, to ensure fairness and equality in unit price for any subsequent energy produced to the National Grid pool. This assumes a protection of the environment and the relevance of solar is still appropriate to government and energy company alike.

Why is this important?
Following the extortionate increases in energy costs, it is clear that those who took government advice and invested in solar/wind power, to assist in the transition to ‘green’ energy are being forced into losses by a disproportionate difference in the unit charge for energy by energy company and homeowner.
Having been told my solar would “pay for itself” it is clear that it will not. The increases made by energy companies has not been seen as a comparable increase for homeowners.
As governments and energy companies around the World profess to be interested in reducing carbon and waste of energy, it would seem only right that those ‘investing’ in the efforts to improve the Planet should be suitably and effectively recompensed for their involvement.
Fairness and a willingness to assure a like for like remittance for each and every unit of energy, transferred to ‘the grid’, should be automatically due.
It is imperative that society can feel protected, and supported in their efforts to contribute to the future of our environment.
Any suggestion of malpractice or discrimination can only serve to undermine government efforts to provide a better climate, for us all.
