Fairness in family court
Too many parents are taking their own lives due to the outcome of family court decisions. A reform of the system is needed that does not allow false allegations to be made, which impact the decisions made in court. There should be consequences to false allegations as these ruin lives of children and parents.
Why is this important?
Loving parents are denied access to their children on the basis of what one parent says. More often than not it is the voice of the father that goes unheard and too many fathers end their lives as they can not cope with a life without their children and the false allegations made against them. Mother's can also be victims of this, so there needs to be a review of the system to make it fairer for all.
The child maintenance service also needs to have safeguards put in place, as too often family court is used as a way to gain full or majority custody of a child, solely for fainancial gain of one parent. When the interest of the child is not put first. There are many loving parents who would gladly spend more time with their children but one parent is allowed to prevent this from happening just so they can gain money. Other countries have a default of 50/50 care after separation as this is viewed as best for the child. We have to put what's best for the child first.
People need to stand up and make a change as otherwise, children will miss out on the love of both parents. Which has been proven to have detrimental effects on mental health, education and physical health. Change is needed to stop so many fathers and mothers ending their life's because of decisions made unfairly based on false allegations, which have no proof. The death of a father or mother is a tragedy that has a lasting impact on the children as they have been robbed of any chance of a life with that parent.
