Fix the housing crisis!

Reintroduce housing targets to tackle the crisis and make sure enough affordable homes are being built

Why is this important?

The UK right now is in the midsts of a huge housing crisis. Many people are struggling with rising rent and cannot afford to buy. Housing being built is currently not keeping up with demand and one of the reasons for this is the Government going back on a promise they made to fix the crisis.

When elected, the current Government promised they would have a set target to help tackle the problem to help people get onto the property ladder but those targets have now been scrapped.

The impact of this decision is now becoming increasingly clear as the housing crisis does not seem to be slowing down. We need to show the Government that not tackling the housing crisis and building more housing is unpopular
