Free bus passes to disabled in receipt of income support benefit.
Reinstate bus passes to those of us with acquired brain injuries who are on income support and who cannot afford bus fares.
Why is this important?
Though those of us with acquired brain injuries used to be entitled and I myself had a bus pass until it ran out, the council changed the criteria about brain injury saying it had to be from birth. My brain injury happened when my beloved late wife Tracy Kimble - who suffered from clinical depression - killed herself and our pet dog and in doing so left me with carbon monoxide poisoning. I had to accept retirement from work due to memory problems and have my small pension topped up by income support.
