Give consideration to periods and how they affect girls attendance in school

The pressure on girls to attend school when struggling with the effects of periods must be removed by introducing a code for menstruation on school registers so absences can be authorised.

This will remove pressure and also acknowledge that this is a real issue for girls who suffer as a result of periods every month.

Why is this important?

Girls in high school experience pre menstrual syndrome and periods every month.

This can massively affect attendance and  and this needs to be taken into consideration with attendance figures - and especially in all girls school.

The effects of periods should not be minimised, dismissed or ignored.

There must be a code introduced on register for when girls are absent due to periods and their effects - these absences should never be unauthorised.
