Hillsborough Law - Stop future cover ups

Just like Hillsborough, the post office scandal may not have happened and certainly not gone on as long, if senior people in positions of power ran the real risk of imprisonment and loss of assets for covering up honest mistakes after they become known.
Was it not brought into law because politicians themselves may run the risk , just like Tony Blair, of falling foul of such legislation?

Why is this important?

A law such as this would promote a more transparent, fair and safer society in all in all areas of public and private life and not just the postal service. Less miscarriages of justice and fewer bent coppers. Just put your hands up when it happens and face errors can be addressed sooner for the public benefit.
