Improve local shopping centre
I would like
1) The square to turn the into a single row of shops by the road. just keep the snooker hall.
2) Turn the big unused open square shape into a car park. Something like Crosby Moor street or Maghull Square
3) It would make money and improve the look of Netherton.
4) There are plenty of empty shops for small shops to relocate.
5) I would like to see the demolition of the flats above the shops as they are in a bad state of disrepair and are infested with pigeons.
6) I believe it would bring business into the area and boost the local economy.
Why is this important?
It has not had much money spent on it since the 1960's and is under utilised . Just down the road is open land where a school used to be, that could even be used to relocate The Square or the market stalls that have been coming once a month. I think it would bring a sense of community pride and improve the landscape of Netherton because at the moment it looks tired and old.
