To: Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor of London for Policing & Crime

Keep Soho Safe!

We urge the Metropolitan Police to take action against the rise in drug-related crime in Soho by allocating Soho more police officers for more proactive and faster reactive policing in our area.

We want the Metropolitan Police to change their current policing model for The West End, as we believe that the current model, whereby the Leicester Square 'Impact Zone' is allocated 77 police officers, compared to Soho being allocated just 10 for our entire area, is unfair and has resulted in a displacement of drug-related crime into Soho.

Why is this important?

Soho is special. For many of us, it is our home and our community village. For others, it is a place where their artistic and creative talents can flourish. For London, it is a thriving area with the UK's best entertainment, restaurants and theatres. For the world, it is a cultural beacon, where different age groups, cultures and communities live side by side and enjoy life together.
