Keep The AVA Building Open At The Weekend

The AVA building need to re-opened at the weekend to give the students the best possible opportunity to learn, experiment and create in their studios.

Why is this important?

Studio access is crucial if an artist wants to improve, this is like taking a kitchen away from a chef, they would need the knives, blender and all other types of materials and devices on order to perfect their recipe. We were told at the open day that studio access would be granted, this gives people the flexibility to work during the week and practice art at the weekend. Without this opportunity to student progress is stifled and COVID-19 also has a higher chance of spreading as students have to come in Monday to Friday, weekend opening hours would alleviate congestion. Full time degrees cost over £9000 and art students pay for the privilege of the studio access which has been taken.
