Make Croydon a more democratic borough

To share his cabinet posts amongst different parties to make his administration more representative of the people of Croydon.

Why is this important?

I have lived in Croydon for over ten years now and in many ways it seems to reflect the divisions and mismanagement that have affected the whole country over the last fifteen years. The deteriorating state of the town centre, the growing need for food banks, the closure of libraries and the wanton destruction of much cherished public amenities, have revealed a borough in seemingly permanent decline. Yet, I feel lucky to have met some remarkable people in Croydon, all working for the good of our borough. They are though often hamstrung by a Council that is not representative of all the people of Croydon. I believe, it is only by parties showing they are willing to work together, that we can begin to solve many of Croydon’s numerous problems and build a brighter future.
