MANCHESTER, BAN PACKAGING THAT CAN'T BE RECYCLED!

Ban businesses in Manchester selling food and drink in packaging that isn't biodegradable or that can't be easily recycled.

Why is this important?

There are plenty of alternatives to polystyrene, why are we still buying food and drinks in these containers that are linked to cancer?

Be a progressive council and lead the way for this ban to be implemented nationwide. If New York can do this why can't we? This is something that is so easy to achieve! If businesses are banned from selling goods in this packaging then the Council won't have to deal with the waste.

-make it easier to achieve Manchester's recycling targets
-let people eat or drink from healthy containers that don't contain cancer causing toxins
-divert 1000's tonnes from our landfills, streets and waterways.
