Micky Mouse Degress/ Fraud in Higher Education
I am a former student and I am representing the voice of many others who ended up with higher education diplomas with no value but with huge student loan debts. Pearson, the awarding body responsible for the majority of the 'subdegree courses' specifically designated for an undergraduate student support and delivered into Alternative Providers (also enrolled international students) is issuing diplomas with no value because their courses by design have nothing to do with higher education standards. They are using the academic credentials as a legitimacy front to access public funding but in fact ,Pearson is delivering old aims of non regulated provisions, outside any National Framework, with Centre devised units and at Pass only.
There are evidences of corruption and fraudulent misrepresentation up to the highest levels within all the institutions involved in the process of validation, designation and financing. Students subsequently complained about low quality degrees over the years, international students have been deported with no fault of their own, all because of a fraud scheme running for years.
Department of Education had been informed repetitively but for some reason no action been taken. QAA ,the ferocious dog' was nothing more than a contributory element to this ongoing alleged fraud for years. Tone of evidences and complaints have been submitted but Department of Education and all other institutions involved like OFS, refused to acknowledged and refused to act. Students have rights, therefore their voices need to be heard and listen. They were induced for years to enrolled under false promises into courses that have nothing to do with higher education but they are advertised and sold as such only for public funding. When something goes wrong ,students or colleges are first in line to blame, however, the master mind into this scheme is the awarding body itself which unfortunately have enough credibility and support to go away successfully. The matter it will be reported to the police as know all the proofs have been collected, however, it is a must for the Minister of Education to pay attention and took action towards these fraudulent practices and protect students Students learned for nothing, they were promised a career that never happened but their debts still standing despite the complaints. Diplomas are speaking for themselves. Students who enrolled into HND's courses, both domestic and international who have been affected need to come forward.

Why is this important?
The Higher Education Market has to be trusted.Students and their parents need to have the assurance of good quality product which are meeting the value for money.
Students have to be respected and listen .They are merely used as tools in the factory money. Things are changing when people have the courage to stand for their rights and this matter definitely has to be deal with.
The fraud scheme was going on for years according to evidences .The damages are far more than it can be imagined .Public money are waisted for zero value courses and implicitly for zero value awards.
I have to pay a huge amount of debts which are increasingly exponentially, like me thounsands of students. It is a question mark of why Department of Education is not acting ?There are people in senior position who are holding power of decision and that power was abused greatly and for that they need to be found accountable.
