Microsoft must continue support for windows 10

On October 14th Microsoft will end support for windows 10 and so devices will be in danger of attacks by hackers.
42 per cent of users are still using windows 10 because Microsoft demands a very high spec. for working with windows 11. In simple words Microsoft wants to force users to buy new PC's because they don't understand that PC's, laptops etc aren't expensive toys anymore, they are just things we work with everyday and we don't want to throw them away while they're still working.
On the ecological side the devices contain rare metals and minerals which should all be re-cycled as well as the steel, aluminium, other metals and plastics which would otherwise be sent to useless landfill.
Millions of unuseable devices mean at least 100's of thousands of tonnes of waste going to landfill

Why is this important?

It is important because people keep their devices for good reasons; they're used to them, they don't have the money or desire to change them, they don't want to learn yet again how to work with another device.
As stated above the only place they can end up is landfill as these operating systems are used world-wide and are equally useless in the poorest countries.
As an aside: computing power is not as important today as complex tasks are often carried out in the 'cloud' not on the device itself
