National Mourning Day (Remembrance Day)

Remove one of the Bank Holidays and replace it with a
National Mourning Day (Remembrance Day)

Why is this important?

Was thinking yesterday on the 11/11 Remembrance Day, why do we not have a National Mourning Day instead of a one of these so called Bank holidays. The 11/11 is probably the most important day in the lives of millions, a day and time that changed the world we live in today.
We say "We will remember them" and we do! but for two minutes at the moment that the war ended so many years ago. Then its back to work!! We then have a National Service of Rememrance in our Cities Towns and Hamlets on the nearest weekend. We should be having these Remembrance Services on the 11/11 no matter what day it falls on. WE, all of us, men, women and children coming together to remember our fallen and those who are stil giving their lives for our security and for others worldwide.
I know there will be fors and against this suggestion,
so i would be interested in hearing your thoughts and opinions.
