No Prime Ministerial pension for Liz Truss

Liz Truss has had an extremely short tenure as Prime Minister.

She was not appointed by General Election, nor even by a majority of her party's MPs.

Her main 'achievement' was a mini-budget which had to be reversed almost in its entirety.

Her attempt to declare a vote on fracking a confidence vote resulted in bullying and manhandling of MPs.

As a result of tge destruction of trust in her short premiership, interest rates are higher, the pound is lower and the government has to cut spending.

She should not benefit with a pension for life.

Why is this important?

It is important to ensure that Prime Ministers are held accountable for poor decision-making. Also to ensure that a Prime Minister with no mandaye, either from the electorate or from MPs, can profit.
