Legislation needs to be passed to allow for a right to a set level of housing prices for locals in towns swept up by developers and rich buyers in trending areas such as Cornwall.
Why is this important?
Property is being bought up by outsiders and used as a second home during seasonal time periods - leaving these towns with expensive housing markets and desolate centres during certain times of the year.
It is unfair that locals should have to endure such financial and physical stress because of wealth being poured into their hometowns where their families may have lived for generations or where they have a strong sense of community
