The BCP Council have put forward and 63 page document of their BIG PLAN which will impact our local communities until 2038 and beyond. The document is accessed online by searching for the link to the document and the 12-13 page response. This document is complex and no real provision has been made for those without computers and/or lack confidence in using IT. Christchurch Citizens Association (CCA), a local Residents Group are requesting a further extension to be granted to allow for an informed response to be submitted from local residents, many of whom do not even know of the existence of this Plan never mind its contents and implications.
Why is this important?
This plan will be in place until 2038 and will impact our residents, businesses and our town for the foreseeable future. Very few people know about it and therefore cannot put forward their views, comments and objections where appropriate. The extension is necessary to give people time to submit an informed response.
