Pay Rise for care assistants

I am a care assistant. The problem that we are having is we have a very very hard job working in care homes - people don't realise how much work you have to do. And we're on such a basic wage.

My daughter makes beds at Travelodge and they are on 11.00 an hour. I don't understand how that can be right. Nurses think they have a hard job but they get paid well. Us care assistants are only on a basic wage. Which I think is appalling
