Protect unaccompanied refugee children in Europe

Safeguard and provide for unaccompanied refugee children living without adult protection in Europe.

Why is this important?

129 unaccompanied refugee children have gone missing from the Calais 'Jungle' since it was partly demolished in March. 294 lone children remain in the camp, some of whom have a legal right to join family members in the UK. According to Europol, 10,000 unaccompanied child refugees have disappeared in Europe in the past two years.
Europe has the resources to safeguard and provide for refugee children living without adult protection within its borders. We cannot stand by and allow these children to fall into the hands of abusers, traffickers or otherwise on our watch.
The EU and UK governments must make adequate provision for refugee children who are alone and vulnerable in Europe. Additionally, the UK government must ensure that unaccompanied child refugees with family members in the UK are allowed to join them.
