Reform the Compliance Unit or Abolish it!

Calling on Jeremy Corbyn to suspend the Compliance Unit and it's investigations and overhaul all it's procedures.

To reform the Unit so that all it's investigations and suspensions follow natural justice and fairness and rule of law is followed.

Why is this important?

It has been mentioned in the news, albeit briefly, that Ronnie Draper, General Secretary of BFAWU Bakers Union, has been suspended and without any clear knowledge of what the allegations are.

There has also been reports of a purge appearing in internet and independent media and social media.

The Unit brings the reputation of Labour as a party of fairness, social justice and democracy into serious reputation. It risks ruining members reputations and causing serious miscarriages of justice.

It appears the Compliance Unit is a law unto itself and if this continues it should cease to be the disciplinary body of the party
