Remove the power of a lone policemen to arrest a female, now!
Following the recent, beyond disgraceful behaviour of some police officers there has been some very poor advice circulated as to what women should do when faced with a potentially predatory officer. All the advice puts the burden on the victim to defend themselves in a threatening situation. All of this would be circumvented by simply removing the power of arrest from a lone male police officer. If he felt an arrest was appropriate, then he would have to call for back up before an arrest could be made, and the woman would then be protected.
Why is this important?
Women have been raped and even killed by the actions of lone policemen in London using their uniform as a cover. This measure would make that much less likely that they could do this.
