The water companies in the UK have continuously promised to stop polluting our waterways and coasts with sewerage, but fail to stop doing so year on year. We are forced to continue paying our bills even though these water companies are controlled by foreign investors without the slightest interest in reinvestment and the health of the UK public. The water industry is privately owned, but unlike other private businesses that fail to produce a decent service, the water companies can be assured their customers won't leave, or stop paying their bills, because they are forced to do so by law. It has to change as it has gone on too long. We need to renationalise the water industry.
Why is this important?
It is important to change the way these businesses are run to stop millions of subscribers from being cheated and also to prove companies cannot hide behind the law.
