Rent cap for students

A rent cap need to be put in place specifically for private student accommodation at a price that can be covered by the minimum student finance band.

Why is this important?

It is important so that students can afford to live in suitable and safe accommodation at a price that they can easily afford and not have to worry about being able to afford rent on top of the struggle of studying as well as to be able to afford their groceries on top of this.
