Save Bo’ness Recreation Centre
To try and change this decision we should all be challenging our local politicians to fight this. Highlighting the fact that spending on the town’s facilities seems lower than other towns in the Authority. Using local transport to reach similar facilities is out of the question as the service is so poor.
Why is this important?
The loss of this service will have a negative impact on health and wellbeing in the town, both physical and mental. Swimming is also a basic life skill and the loss of the pool will be catastrophic in this regard. The use of the Centre is now greater than pre pandemic numbers which shows the need for the Centre to remain open and to be brought up to standard for public use.
