SAVE CHELMSFORD CITY FC – PLEASE SELL UP!
After five years of promises that have not been delivered, a steep decline in the running of the club, and a breakdown in the trust of supporters, now is the time to do the decent thing. There are offers on the table. So – for the sake of the future of our club - please sell up.
Why is this important?
In the five years since the takeover, the infrastructure is continuing to decline, with even the most basic of repairs and maintenance not being carried out.
None of the Clarets4Change six aims (Clarets4Change Statement - https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/chelmsfordcitysoapbox84887/clarets4change-statement-t19263.html) have been met. For instance, there are no new directors and the board is not functioning. When was the last time it met?
The Supporters’ Club has unanimously agreed a vote of no confidence in your ownership at an Extraordinary General Meeting (its biggest General Meeting in many years), and along with a potential buyer has expressed its concern at a lack of transparency during the recent takeover talks (Fans' concerns continue to rise as Clarets takeover hits the buffers https://www.yellowad.co.uk/fans-concerns-continue-to-rise-as-clarets-takeover-hits-the-buffers/).
Many supporters feel you do not have an interest in or understanding of football. Racecourse goers and football supporters are very different, nobody chooses a football club as they would choose a brand of soap powder. We are supporters, not customers.
