Save Our Parking on the Esplanade in Penarth

The Vale Council have decided to charge for parking on the Esplanade which will deprive a lot of people coming to visit whether it be for taking the dog for a walk or your autistic son which a very kind lady does every day. Many people cannot afford to cover parking charges. When this happened at Cosmeston  recently the cafe business lost much of its trade. The Esplanade has been a huge success in recent years and charging to park is obviously going to deter the  people from coming and so the trade will suffer. Sign our petition before its too late which may be as soon as the 28th January when the Council meeting is taking place to discuss the matter. Councils' are out of control and need to listen to the people they effect.

Why is this important?

As I represent the traders on the Esplanade I feel like they are very strongly about Government interference which takes away from our efforts to succeed in business. Local Authority appears to be very poorly run by its elected members  we need to make a stand to insure a balance so that the business continues to flourish and provide a life for many members of the Community and for many visitors who come to enjoy the wonderful view.
