Save Woodside from demolition

Woodside is in danger of demolition without town consultation. This is shocking.
Woodside is a Warwick District Heritage asset. Yet more destruction in our region potentially without recourse to everyone living in and around Kenilworth.

Woodside is a heritage asset in 2 categories:
Category 1: A1 (architecture merit), A2 (historic merit)

Category 2: B (representativeness)

As stated in WDC’s Local List of Heritage Assets:

under HE3 of the Local Plan:

Development that would lead to the demolition or loss of significance of a locally listed historic asset will be assessed in relation to the scale of harm or loss and the significance of the asset.
I (and I am sure a large number of Kenilworth residents) believe the loss of Woodside will be a huge loss to Kenilworth and that Woodside is a highly significant asset.

Built in 1860, Woodside has been the residence of a number of very notable people, including:

1866 Lady Alexandrina Victoria Murray who was one of the bridesmaids of Princess Helena, the daughter of Queen Victoria.
1873 William Sands Cox who founded Birmingham's first medical school in 1825 and who has a Blue Plaque in Birmingham on the site of this school
How can this be ignored?

Please can you at the very least ensure that Kenilworth residents are able to have their say in this fairly before any decisions are taken?

Why is this important?

Unless Warwick District understand that many people oppose this destruction no attempts will be made to save Woodside. Our local history and part of our personal histories too, hosting parties, christenings and weddings with memories dear to us as individuals. In danger of destruction to make more housing developer cash.
