SCRAP THE FEE FOR AFGHAN INTERPRETERS TO GET A BRITISH PASSPORT

Afghan interpreters that worked alongside the British military and put their lives on the line can apply to settle in the UK. After 5 years they can apply for citizenship but we charge them £2500 - this barrier to UK citizenship is obscene. We should immediately remove this unnecessary fee. We are better than this.

Why is this important?

As we have departed Afghanistan after 20 years, what better way is there of saying to Afghans who worked shoulder to shoulder with our troops that we value you and welcome you to our country. Scrap the passport fee now.
