Shared Appreciation Loans

Reduce the percentage that banks (Bank of Scotland) can claim on property appreciation.

Why is this important?

What seemed like a good idea in 1998 ie loan against property with no interest charged on an on going basis, then 75% of equity of property when sold.
However, huge increase in house prices was not foreseen at the time (certainly not by borrowers). This means that some of us will not be able to move when property becomes too difficult to manage.
