Stop Gamer Exploitation
Pass legislation to limit the downloadable content and micro transactions used by games developers and their marketing teams.
Why is this important?
The pressure on gamers is immense to have all the latest upgrades and the fact many companies use day one downloadable content as a means to make extra cash is wrong. They are removing elements from a complete game to sell them as an add on to make the game complete. It's the only way to get the full experience and micro transactions are causing young gamers and their families a lot of financial problems as has been documented recently in the press. The pressure to keep up with peers leads to a strong temptation to purchase points, coins etc: without parental consent.
