Stop or amend the parking scheme in steeton

This needs to happen to ensure that the local residents are not penalised by a scheme that hasn't been fully communicated or thought through for the area.
The problem is the lack of communication from the council especially after a 2 year period from the first consultation.. the start dates and questions raised by residents have been left unanswered and it had all been communicated via social media.. not inclusive to all the residents in the community.
The scheme is too restricting to the residents and either needs stopping or amending. To do this we can... allow more than one visitors permit at a time and paper permits for the visitors as this is the only way to be accessible to all. To be able to leave a note in cars that go over specified visitors per household for specific occasions like funeral (let's face it who is going to think I better just ring the council if there grieving and planning a funeral).
To stop the council charging weekly amounts for working permits that will affect many local businesses (contractors, window cleaners etc) why should the residents have to pay for this especially if having work done on their property. To push back the start date of the scheme to allow the Bradford council to communicate with the community fully.
Or to stop the scheme we can look atore cost effective ways that allow some parking but also allows it to be safe in a way that is effective for emergency services and larger vehicles.
The council need to recommunicate the scheme and state to us the official information without using social media as their only source and be held accountable for their lacking communication policy.
We also need to push for the council to follow the government legislation by following the 'right to challenge parking policies' under the Traffic management act 2004.
