Stop plastic - Re-introduce Glass bottles

Engineer Nathaniel Wyeth patented polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles in 1973.

The first plastic bottles able to withstand the pressure of carbonated liquids, they were a much cheaper alternative to glass bottles. Globally, more than a million plastic bottles are sold every single minute.

So in the 50 or so years that plastic bottles started to replace glass we have managed to contaminate every part, and animal, of the planet.

All in the aim of saving costs for corporate enterprise.

Most plastics can only be recycled once, at which point they are normally converted into clothing or some other commodity which can't be recycled again. This means that once the second item reaches the end of its lifespan, so too does the original plastic – and it ends up in a landfill.

How many times can glass be recycled? Infinitely! Glass is 100% recyclable and can be endlessly reprocessed without losing quality.

Is it not time that we ask those same corporates to take ownership of this issue and re-introduce glass.

….. Just saying …..

Why is this important?

Stops polluting the planet.
