Stop the lorries in Austwick

The people of Austwick village in the Yorkshire dales are very concerned about a local landownership who intends to fell lots of trees on his estate and transport them on large lorries through the little village of Austwick. It will ruin the village and the narrow roads nay, lanes, just can't accommodate large lorries. There's a very busy school, a shop/post office and pubs, the paths are so narrow or even non existent in places, it's asking for trouble and someone will get hurt. Permission was given rather quickly and secretly, people didn't even have time to set up a proper petition. Apparently the landowner could build roads through his own estate but doesn't want to do that, I wonder why , please help.

Why is this important?

To save the village, big heavy lorries will kill Austwick, it's a beautiful, peaceful village, set in the vicinity of the three peaks, loved by walkers and sightseers, used by the infantry for training and the Duke of Edinburgh challenges.
