Stop West Bank illegal Israeli colony expansion

The reason for this is because aiming to stop the colonies in the West Bank is too small a goal, and the time for this has passed. It is the entire settler-colonial structure that we need to stop because it is responsible for the elimination of the Palestinians from all of historic Palestine including Gaza.

I have done esearch to back up my observations that Israeli settlements/settlers in the occupied West Bank is the incorrect terminology. I have copied a Wikipedia link to a list of UN resolutions concerning Israel most if not all have which have been ignored. List of United Nations resolutions concerning Israel - Wikipedia

The UN has repeatedly condemned Israeli colonies as illegal under international law, with resolutions like 2334 (2016) reaffirming that settlements have "no legal validity" and constitute a "flagrant violation". The International Court of Justice has also ruled that Israel’s presence in the West Bank is unlawful, reinforcing the argument for using terms like "colonies" rather than "settlements".

I have picked out four which explicitly mention illegal Israeli settlements. I have been inspired by the recent documentary by Louis Theroux called "Settlers" it could easily have been called "Colonists" which is a more accurate term.

Resolution 446 (1979): 'determines' that Israeli settlements are a 'serious obstruction' to peace and calls on Israel to abide by the Fourth Geneva Convention".
Resolution 452: " ... 'calls' on Israel to cease building settlements in occupied territories".
Resolution 465: " ... 'deplores' Israel's settlements and asks all member states not to assist Israel's settlements program".
Resolution 2334 (23 December 2016) called for an end to Israeli settlement building.

Human Rights Council Hears that 700,000 Israeli COLONISTS are living illegally in the Occupied West Bank.

I said in my previous posts the words settlements/settlers can be changed to Colonies/colonists any articles written will read the same but, will convey are more accurate picture of what is actually happening.

The shift in terminology fundamentally alters the way these realities are perceived. "Colonies" and "colonists" reflect the broader framework of settler colonialism, reinforcing that these actions are not just isolated instances of settlement but part of a systemic strategy of expansion and control.

Framing the issue with precise language strengthens the argument and challenges misleading narratives.

Why is this important?

The international community has long recognised Israeli settlements as illegal, yet mainstream discourse continues to use language that obscures their true nature. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) recently reaffirmed that Israel's occupation is unlawful and called for the evacuation of all settlers. Despite this, political leaders still refer to the West Bank as "occupied" without addressing the deeper colonial framework at play.
