Dear Prime Minister, doubtless you face many crucial problems in your first days in the job. But The Climate emergency has to be more important than any of them. Please attend the COP27 conference.
Why is this important?
COP27 at Sharm al Sheikh is potentially the last chance for the world's nations to come together to massively reduce CO2 emissions in the coming years, and therefore to prevent the coming climate catastrophe that we are already seeing in floods, droughts, heat waves making human life impossible.
UK has taken a lead in this at last year's Glasgow summit, please sustain the UK's leading role in the struggle against catastrophic climate change.
