SUPPORT JUNIOR DOCTORS AND SAFEGUARD THE NHS
We, the undersigned, support Junior Doctors in their decision to take industrial action following the Government’s failure to listen to their concerns over proposed contract changes which are unsafe for patients, unfair to doctors and unsustainable for the NHS.
We do not believe that the Government’s plans for a 7-day NHS are credible, as they will stretch existing staff even more thinly across the week without providing the necessary additional resources.
If this contract is imposed there is a significant chance that doctors and medical students will be pushed out of the NHS. The resulting brain drain will be catastrophic for the UK and the NHS.
