Tax return for the over 80s

HMRC have discarded the right to make a tax return in writing and you can only make a tax return on line now. Thousands of people over eighty cannot do this. HMRC advises you to get a friend or relative to do this for you if cannot cope with a computer. This would be an invasion of privacy if in fact this was posdiblr

Why is this important?

It is important as many OAPs are driven to go to an accountant at considerable cost. They would not have to do this if they could simply send in a written tax return.
