The Co-op Supermarket - Stop Selling Newspapers That Spread Racist Disinformation
Stop selling newspapers that are spreading deliberate misinformation about Muslims, refugees, the disabled , the poor and other vulnerable groups.
Why is this important?
The Co-operative Group claim to belive in the importance of "the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others", but newspapers like The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, The Sun and The Daily Star state the exact opposite views as The Co-operative say they have got.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the signatures, & please speak to your freinds/family and ask them to sign. Thanks again! From Orrin Gillings (Creator of this petition) I am, by the way, aged 8, and am nearly 9.

Just wanted to let everyone know that this petition was created by my almost-9 year old son, Orrin. It was entirely his own idea - I helped a bit with the wording and he used a dictionary and thesaurus to find the best way to express his thoughts. It's a subject he feels very strongly about - he gets angry when he sees headlines such as the ones in the photo and he understands the harm they do. He also knows what the Co-op stands for and that those newspapers don't fit with their ethical stance. If a child can recognise this, then perhaps the business minded executives of the Co-operative Group can take it on board too... All the best, Mandy F.
