The Poppy Passageway - A project to brighten and add safety to a vital unadopted footpath

The footpath connects Nelstrop Road North to Cringle road. It is currently in a state of disrepair and
neglect, but has the potential to become a stunning asset for our community. It is currently litter picked
by members of the Bee Sanctuary movement and Marbury Road Edible Garden in the hopes of
reconnecting our local green nature corridor.
By planting poppy flowers along the path, we aim to create a vibrant and visually stunning passageway
that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the area but also contributes to the well-being and mental
health of those who traverse it. We hope that the beautiful blooms will discourage littering and encourage
people to care for their environment.
The transformation of this footpath into a poppy-lined passageway will provide numerous benefits to the
community, including improved aesthetics and a sense of pride in our local environment.

Why is this important?

The transformation of this footpath into a poppy-lined passageway will provide numerous benefits to the
community, including improved aesthetics and a sense of pride in our local environment. The project will
also contribute to the overall well-being and mental health of community members by offering a peaceful
and visually stimulating natural space for recreation and contemplation. We believe that our work here will
have a lasting and positive impact on our community. We are committed to ensuring the success and
sustainability of this project and hope that you will consider supporting us in this.
