Unfair Heating Charges & Outages
Background:
In our community, tenants are grappling with exorbitant heating bills despite conservative energy usage. The current tariff structure, particularly from notting hill Genisis / Insite Energy, appears to be disproportionately high, causing financial strain for many residents. In addition to the financial burden, our community is experiencing frequent and disruptive outages, particularly in water supply.Upon discussing this matter within the community group, we discovered that the heating tariff for our property is double that of some other tenants. For eg : it's 35p per Kwh for a few of us and the rest have 17p per kwh.we hardly switch on the heating and yet pay about 100 pounds a month.
Additional Concerns:
The continuous outages not only add to the challenges residents face but also significantly impact our daily lives. Despite paying premium prices for energy and water services, these disruptions leave us without essential resources, causing undue inconvenience and potential health and safety risks as we are ending with with no hot water and heating.
