Scrap or reform Universal Credit.
The Universal Credit is a shambles. I am not sure if it is a government ploy to stop people receiving benefits or just a shambles but, to quote a Citizens Advice volunteer advisor who works with many vulnerable people, "they are a law unto themselves. ".
Any one trying to claim Universal Credit or to appeal against a sanction or to get it restarted after an agreed sanction time, is often fobbed off with promises that are broken from officials working in call centres across the country .
There needs to be a complete overview of how Universal Credit is working and either scrap it and return to Jobseekers allowance etc. or make sure it works efficiently and well.

Why is this important?
If people are entitled by law to monetary support when they need it due to any reason, they should get it quickly and at the correct amount. This helps people get back on their feet as quickly as possible, keep out of debt and begin to contribute again to society as a whole.
I volunteer in a food bank and see so many desperate and embarrassed people who have no money to buy their own food and often the reason is a mix up or delay in their Universal Credit payments.
