Help the farmers in Punjab/ Sikhs in India get their basic human rights restored
I want people to raise awareness of the #kisaanlivesmatter and the injustice many Sikhs in general as well as Sikh farmers,who are being treated unfairly abused of their rights and not getting paid fairly; this new reform bill is making it even more difficult for farmers to pay their debts off, let alone provide for their families. I want people who can sit in the comfort of their own home, knowing they can make a change. To listen, to take action and help make this change help get rid of this new reform bill, or increase the wage of the farmers so they can pay debts off & pay for their families.
Why is this important?
This is important as Sikhs are the main providers of agriculture around the world whom provide us with food such as rice, vegetables and seeds the least that we could do is show them that they are appreciated, by giving them a right to a wage in which they can provide for themselves and their families. As well as sustaining a career that has been with them throughout generations and to continue this legacy. Punjab, the breadbasket of India since the Green Revolution, is enduring an epidemic of farmer suicide. Most vulnerable are small farmers and farm laborers who might consider committing suicide as an escape from debt burdens or bad crop seasons. The affected families include spouses, elder parents, and young children who are left behind hopeless. Numerous cases have been reported in a majority of villages across Punjab
