Reinstate funding for children's work at school & refuges; Reinstate addiction workers; Leave control of admission & eviction with Women's Aid; Remove cap on tender to allow funding for specialist holistic Women's Aid Service; End commercial tendering for care services.
Why is this important?
Women who have suffered physical, emotional and psychological abuse need a place of safety where they can regain their self-esteem and reassemble the lives of themselves and their children. Women hold families and communities together and the care of those seeking support from Women's Aid shouldn't be left to chance. We would ask that support be given without relying on tendering.
