Allow British Families To Save Migrant Children!

The photos of yesterday have put a hole in the hearts of every parent in the UK.

How many of us looked at that photo and though.....I could have given that child a safe home until the dust settles and their home is once again safe.

British people have a long history of protecting children. During WWII many children were evacuated from London and sent to the countryside where families took them in as their own. Please allow us to do the same again. It matters not that the children dying are not British, they are children.

As I look around my home I don't have a spare room to offer a child. I would have to put bunk beds in my childrens' room to accommodate two more members of the family. Yes, it would mean two more mouths to feed. Two more children to clothe and twice as much chaos in our already busy lives. It would also mean that we would need to make sacrifices. That holiday I had planned would probably not happen. But Mr. Cameron, how do those sacrifices compare to those that these desperate parents are making?

I understand that bringing the children to the UK would put an additional burden on our schools and the NHS. Families like us are not asking for money as foster parents, we can, thanks to the opportunities that this great country offer us, afford to support these children out of our earnings. I would dare say that we are not the only family that would be willing, to even pay the cost of airfare to save these children.

In the short term Mr. Cameron, this is an urgent humanitarian issue. Every moment that we spend talking about this, another child dies. In long term effects of acting now are nothing but positive. These young people will go home, re unite with their families and rebuild their country. Living with loving British families will make them the new generation of Muslims. The love that we give these children now, will be reward the world by shaping the Arab leaders of tomorrow. These children will have our education which will set them up to be the leaders of tomorrow in a more moderate and tolerant Muslim society.

Mr. Cameron, you too are a parent. I am begging you to let the children in. Allow us, British families to take on this burden. We can solve all of the other issues later Mr. Cameron....for now....please let us save the children. Let British families act swiftly. It will be years before the war is over, the children don't have years. They will loose their childhood, their education and their dreams.

Please Mr. Cameron, allow us to take the children.

Why is this important?

Because we can simply no longer pretend it's not our problem.

Dear all,
Spoke to a journalist at The Sun, that told me that there is an estimated 20,000 lone children in camps that have arrived without parents. Please, share and ask your friends to sign. The situation is a lot more dire than previously though.
