Primates should not be sold as pets as they are intelligent, complex animals that do not thrive in home environments. Often spending their lives isolated from their own kind, in cages too small for adequate exercise and fed inappropriate diets that lead to stunted growth and ill health, primates kept as pets suffer, one way or another.
