Cancel HS2 and divert money to public services and societies struggling financially

With the onset of Covid 19, public services, families, small businesses etc are going to need huge financial investment.
To continue with the hugely expensive HS2 when people are at risk of losing jobs, their homes, loved ones is bordering on perverse.
In this time of crisis, The government should divert the funding to these urgent needs
